I had a great time shooting Lynne and Brendan’s engagement photos. They are such a blast to work with. I’m REALLY excited about shooting their big day coming up at the end of May at Hatley Castle. The castle and grounds are my favorite location to shoot at and with folks as fabulous as these it is sure to be one to remember!
Last night in Vic, DJ Champion and his G-Strings took the stage at Sugar. It is impossible for my words to do justice to the killer performance they gave. If they ever stop in your town, GO SEE THEM! They are what live shows are all about. The incredible energy they brought to the stage was infectious and the packed crowd couldn’t get enough. DJ Champion does fabulous builds that take you from a toe tappin’ head bob to a thumping, jumping, super-happy dance. You can’t help it. It just happens. So I finally got to meet my darling nephew! My brother, his wife and their 7 month old son Graden live in Singapore which means that their current visit home to Canada marks my first introduction to the CUTEST little boy in the world. He looks like cabbage patch kid. If you don’t believe me…check it out:
I pulled an old Remington from my typewriter collection for this special session. Baby Nathan’s great-grandmother was a published poet and she always did her writing on a typewriter. Nathan’s mom has lots of memories of playing away and learning how to type at her grandmother’s. Sadly, while Nathan was still in his mama’s belly, his great-grandmother passed away. We thought this shoot would make a fitting tribute to her.
