It was a fabulous weekend at Organic Islands Festival. There are always lots of great vendors that support and inspire sustainability. The reason I love the festival the most is the incredible speakers that come to share their wealth of knowledge. Percy Schmeiser was the highlight for me at the Festival in 2008.  His story is one to know. He is fighting a battle on our behalf. DJ Champion
Last night in Vic, DJ Champion and his G-Strings took the stage at Sugar. It is impossible for my words to do justice to the killer performance they gave. If they ever stop in your town, GO SEE THEM! They are what live shows are all about. The incredible energy they brought to the stage was infectious and the packed crowd couldn’t get enough. Victoria, BC – Anti-Enbridge Rally
A large anti-Enbridge rally against the Northern Gateway Pipeline happened in Victoria last Sunday. Hundreds turned out to the Legislature lawns before taking to the streets to march to Centennial Square. Once at the square, there was an afternoon full of workshops and panel discussions related to the environment, the energy sector, and effective ways to get involved in the debate.
