What a beautiful day it is was for Leanne & Taylor’s wedding! While I tend to fall in love with all my clients, L&T kicked it up a notch by keeping me in stitches all day long. It was a fabulous weekend at Organic Islands Festival. There are always lots of great vendors that support and inspire sustainability. The reason I love the festival the most is the incredible speakers that come to share their wealth of knowledge. Percy Schmeiser was the highlight for me at the Festival in 2008. His story is one to know. He is fighting a battle on our behalf. A battle that’s final outcome will not directly effect his life, but it will effect ours. I had a couple incredibly brilliant work trips this year: a ship tour with Greenpeace and a trip to Paris to cover the UN Climate Conference. In contrast to some years past, it was a fairly uplifting year to be doing environmental work in Canada (Shell pulled out of the Arctic, Canada got a new government, Northern Gateway was killed, and the Paris Climate talks are being lauded by most as a success). We aren’t used to celebrating this much! I was on the Greenpeace ship for about six weeks, with half the time dedicated to an action…
