Family fun in Goldstream

One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to document the evolution of families. It wasn’t something I thought about when I was starting out but now that I have had clients come back to me year after year, I really cherish the times I get to catch up with them and see how beautifully their families have grown. This family is no exception. My last shoot with them was at Beacon Hill park last year. You can check out the images from that shoot here. This year we hung out and played at Goldstream. Ahhhh, Goldstream in the fall. I sure do love that place.

    Lisa and Nathan’s wedding was such a perfect blend of elegance, sophistication, intimacy and serenity. They were married at Fairholme Manor which was an ideal location for their small, private wedding. The grounds are gorgeous and the interior of the heritage house is a photographer’s dream. Lisa’s Maid of Honour (and sister) created the brilliant floral arrangements. The reception was at one of my favorite restaurants in town, Camille’s. My brother, his wife and their 7 month old son Graden live in Singapore which means that their current visit home to Canada marks my first introduction to the CUTEST little boy in the world.   • Beautiful & Brilliant Bif.

    I was pleasantly surprised to see Bif Naked up at the Prince Rupert rally. I had never seen her live before. She has a casual and intimate air about her that made it feel like she was playing for us in her living room. For someone that has had to face some major challenges in her life, it is apparent that she rolls with the punches and comes out smiling. I will definitely try to catch her show again.              

  • Heartbreakers

    This was a really fun shoot. The old motorcycle that Graden is riding used to be ridden by his father 32 years ago. With that in mind I went with a a bit of a vintage look on a lot of the photos. Graden sure is a looker, especially with that little page boy cap. So cute! The last few frames are of his adorable cousin 😉
