  • 65 Red Roses – a benefit concert for cystic fibrosis

I first heard of Eva through a friend of mine that directed me toward her blog. Eva documented her battle with cystic fibrosis with such heart and such grace that the world fell in love with her. Eva touched so many people and brought such energy and determination to the fight against CF that support has proliferated since her courageous battle came to an end last March. I attended a benefit concert on Feb.13th that was in honour of Eva. Many of the bands that performed had a personal connection with Eva which made the event extra moving. When I…

  • Good Looking Bunch

Here are some highlights from a shoot in Beacon Hill Park last weekend. The cherry blossoms and daffodils are out in full force. Sometimes I feel like I’m cheating by being a photographer in Victoria where the natural beauty abounds 😉 Speaking of beauty, check out these folks…

  • Family fun in Goldstream

One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to document the evolution of families. It wasn’t something I thought about when I was starting out but now that I have had clients come back to me year after year, I really cherish the times I get to catch up with them and see how beautifully their families have grown. This family is no exception. My last shoot with them was at Beacon Hill park last year. You can check out the images from that shoot here. This year we hung out and played at Goldstream. Ahhhh, Goldstream in the…

  • Beloved Japan.

Gene and I took Ella to Asia when she was 3.5 months old. I will forever be grateful for the experiences we had there, especially as new parents navigating the waters of “how to be a good parent”. Being immersed in other cultures while we were raw and evolving in our new roles was such a gift. We got to witness over and over again that a “norm” is culturally based and not static, which gave us the courage to challenge assumptions and norms from back home. The biggest one of these for me was integrated community. Everywhere we travelled,…

  • Dom & Robyn’s Wedding

We just got back from a GORGEOUS wedding in Naramata. I was really excited to have Anna back shooting with me for the wedding as her law studies have kept her from shooting so far this year and I’ve been missing her energy and great eye. When we arrived at the location we felt like kids in a candy shop…the spectacular arid cliffs, the stunning blue water and a venue that was a gem!  It was the kind of location that photographers dream of! The scenery was nothing though compared to the magic that was so evident between Dom & Robyn. There…

  1. This is such a great idea! I’m sure they loved it 🙂 I particularly loved how it seems like you move at lightning speeds across the screen. Working on those photographer quads 😉
