I was just down at the opening for “the Art of Voting” at Studio 16 1/2. Artists created portraits of the past 34 premiers of BC. I did a rendition of Harlan Carey Brewster. Thanks to Bill and Kirsten for putting together such a brilliant show.

I had an interview today with Gordie Tupper from Chek News. He was doing a piece on the upcoming Vic West Art Quest that I am a part of. The opening is happening tomorrow night (May.1st) from 7-9 pm at the Spiral Cafe and Hemp & Co on Craigflower. The studio tour is on May.9th and 10th from 1-5 pm. I totally adore shooting children and families. The love and playfulness is so inspiring and I always feel so privileged to be there capturing it “on film”. I have to admit this is one of my favorite families as the boys are sweet and stunning and their obvious love for each other is so stinkin’ adorable! What a great show it was. I feel so fortunate to have connected with all these amazingly talented women photographers for the Exhibit A gallery show. The turnout to the opening was incredible; the gallery was packed from the moment we opened the doors right up until the end. We just got back from a GORGEOUS wedding in Naramata. I was really excited to have Anna back shooting with me for the wedding as her law studies have kept her from shooting so far this year and I’ve been missing her energy and great eye. When we arrived at the location we felt like kids in a candy shop…the spectacular arid cliffs, the stunning blue water and a venue that was a gem!
