Leanne & Taylor

What a beautiful day it is was for Leanne & Taylor’s wedding! While I tend to fall in love with all my clients, L&T kicked it up a notch by keeping me in stitches all day long. My stomach and face hurt at the end of the day from all the laughing. Thank you so much, Leanne and Taylor, for having us there on your most amazing day. Thanks, Shealyn, for capturing the day with me! The beautiful ceremony and reception were held at the Westin at Bear Mountain and the wedding party photos were taken at the historical Fort Rodd Hill.

  • A year ago yesterday.

A year ago yesterday I was breathing in great big lungfuls of west coast forest air and marveling at the miracle of life with these two (three) incredible souls. It was a misty, foggy, and soul-rich day which seemed to reflect perfectly the lives of these body boarding, ocean loving, tree-planters. These two are the force behind the brilliant work of Goose Goose Revolution. They also went on to have the cutest baby on the face of the planet, mine not included 😉 Scroll to the end to see their greatest masterpiece, Sacha. I love you, my wonderful friends! I…

  • Rifflandia

Rifflandia has done it once again 😉 What an incredible week of awesome shows. I am continually blown away by what a brilliant idea this festival is. 150 some bands, four nights, and one wristband. All for the love of music. Thanks to the organizers for masterminding this extravaganza. This year, I was asked to put together a crew of official photographers so that there would be a photographer stationed at each of the 10 venues every night. I couldn’t of asked for a better team. You can check out everyone’s photos in the gallery on the Rifflandia site here….

  • Dom & Robyn’s Wedding

We just got back from a GORGEOUS wedding in Naramata. I was really excited to have Anna back shooting with me for the wedding as her law studies have kept her from shooting so far this year and I’ve been missing her energy and great eye. When we arrived at the location we felt like kids in a candy shop…the spectacular arid cliffs, the stunning blue water and a venue that was a gem!  It was the kind of location that photographers dream of! The scenery was nothing though compared to the magic that was so evident between Dom & Robyn. There…

  • Gitga’at Rally to protest the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline.

It was so moving being up at the rally in Prince Rupert and seeing community come together with such solidarity against the Enbridge pipeline. Many remote and coastal communities depend directly on the lands and waters for their food, livelihood, and cultural practices. If there was a spill in the area, it would not just be an inconvenience, it would completely desecrate the way of life for thousands of people, not to mention sealife and wildlife. In opposing the pipeline, these communities are fighting for their lives. One of the reasons I feel so strongly about getting personally involved as…
