I had a shoot last year around this time with Dr.S the dentist who worked it for the camera (he definitley picked up some tips from Tyra when his daughter was watching ANTM). Some people just have that camera zen, that ease with themselves that makes for spectacular images. I can vouch that this family has that quality in at least two of its generations. Dean gave his daughter Taryl a gift certficate for a portrait session and here is how the gorgeous girl rocked it:
I am 100% completely in love with the name Quinn, and here the name couldn’t be attached to a more perfect baby. For the record, Quinn was on my name list for my own child but my husband vetoed it so I’m thrilled that it lives on in another close to me! I love watching young children interact with their new baby siblings. These times are so precious. My heart melted at the photo below where Owen is counting Quinn’s toes. So cute! Tracy and Jonathon are a lovely couple that are getting married this coming May. I am really excited about photographing their big day. We just got together to shoot their engagement session down at Cattle Point. The day was REALLY windy and cold but we stuck it out and got some great images. Here are some from the adventure:
Rifflandia has done it once again 😉 What an incredible week of awesome shows. I am continually blown away by what a brilliant idea this festival is. 150 some bands, four nights, and one wristband. All for the love of music. Thanks to the organizers for masterminding this extravaganza. This year, I was asked to put together a crew of official photographers so that there would be a photographer stationed at each of the 10 venues every night. I couldn’t of asked for a better team. We just got back from a GORGEOUS wedding in Naramata. I was really excited to have Anna back shooting with me for the wedding as her law studies have kept her from shooting so far this year and I’ve been missing her energy and great eye. When we arrived at the location we felt like kids in a candy shop…the spectacular arid cliffs, the stunning blue water and a venue that was a gem! I had a great time shooting Lynne and Brendan’s engagement photos. They are such a blast to work with. I’m REALLY excited about shooting their big day coming up at the end of May at Hatley Castle. The castle and grounds are my favorite location to shoot at and with folks as fabulous as these it is sure to be one to remember!
I had contacted Alice at the Base Lounge to see if I could rent their gorgeous space for a photo shoot. We worked out the details and Alice asked if I would photograph her family when I was done with the first shoot. Alice is lovely and radiates health and well-being. I was excited about the opportunity to meet and photograph her family. On the day, the natural light poured in and the family magic began 😉
