We just got back from a GORGEOUS wedding in Naramata. I was really excited to have Anna back shooting with me for the wedding as her law studies have kept her from shooting so far this year and I’ve been missing her energy and great eye. When I was up in Prince Rupert for the rally, I spent Friday just wandering around. I came across Lyle Campbell’s carving studio and went in to check out his amazing work. I love spending time with artists and witnessing the process of creation. Lyle’s fiance Kim was there as well, painting. Amanda & Brian got married in a gorgeous ceremony in Hawaii. Not everyone could make the trip down though so they also wanted to throw a reception party in Victoria. That’s when I got a call from Amanda. Because this fabulous couple live in Ohio we didn’t get a chance to meet until the day of the party. While this situation sometimes makes me nervous as I prefer getting to know each other beforehand, I was amazed upon meeting these two that it felt like we had been friends for years. I love doing headshot portraits outside in natural light. I find the variety in backgrounds is far more interesting than what I have in the studio. All of these images were created within a one block radius but result in lots of different options to choose from.
