A year ago yesterday.

A year ago yesterday I was breathing in great big lungfuls of west coast forest air and marveling at the miracle of life with these two (three) incredible souls. It was a misty, foggy, and soul-rich day which seemed to reflect perfectly the lives of these body boarding, ocean loving, tree-planters. These two are the force behind the brilliant work of Goose Goose Revolution. They also went on to have the cutest baby on the face of the planet, mine not included 😉 Scroll to the end to see their greatest masterpiece, Sacha. I love you, my wonderful friends! I know you are having fun in South Africa, but come home soon! We miss you! xo

This was a really fun and dear shoot for me. Brianna’s grandmother is an incredibly talented knitter and has made gorgeous sweaters for all the new arrivals in her and her daughters’ lives over the last many years. I was so touched to receive one when my Ella was born. Hand-made gifts are always the most precious and I think of the creators everytime I use them. I want to start with a great big thanks to Atomique for putting on such great shows and making the Victoria music scene what it is. I went down to the Save-On Foods Memorial Centre last night to photograph the Metric show. It was great to finally see them live (well, the first three songs anyway). My Darling Nephew

So I finally got to meet my darling nephew! My brother, his wife and their 7 month old son Graden live in Singapore which means that their current visit home to Canada marks my first introduction to the CUTEST little boy in the world.
