Ani Difranco came to town and played a fantastic show on Wednesday. She is such a brilliant musician, but more than that, she is a brilliant woman. I’ve listened to her music for close to a decade now and she always manages to stay relevant. Dom & Robyn’s Wedding

We just got back from a GORGEOUS wedding in Naramata. Sacred Mountain Lavender Farm

On my way home from the cob building workshop on Salt Spring Island, Ella and I took a detour to Sacred Mountain Lavender Farm. Sadly, we were missing the lavender festival by two days but I thought we should still take the opportunity to go by the farm. It was soooooooo worth it. The lavender was GORGEOUS! Human Rights Activist Nontombi Naomi Tutu came to Victoria recently to discuss “us and them: how we construct the ‘other’”. She is an amazing woman and a powerful speaker. I had the opportunity to present her with a photograph that I took of her father Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama when they were part of a roundtable dialogue at UBC in 2004.
