  • Pregnancy Shoot

I just had a lovely pregnancy shoot with Fiona. She was gorgeous and radiant. I can’t wait to meet her little one! We already have plans to do the baby photo shoot. It is so neat being able to capture little ones throughout their first year of life as they change so quickly. Ask us about our special “1st year” package for babies that consists of four shoots within the year and a priceless storybook album to display the images in.

  • The Flaming Lips

Day 3 of Rifflandia is about to begin and while I will be posting images shortly from tons of incredibly talented bands that are playing Riff this year, this post is dedicated to The Flaming Lips. • Haida Carver – Lyle Campbell

When I was up in Prince Rupert for the rally, I spent Friday just wandering around. I came across Lyle Campbell’s carving studio and went in to check out his amazing work. I love spending time with artists and witnessing the process of creation. Lyle’s fiance Kim was there as well, painting. You can see Lyle talking about his art here.      …

So much fun!  I really miss working with horses. It was nice to be around them again, even if it was watching them from afar 😉

  • NONTOMBI NAOMI TUTU

Human Rights Activist Nontombi Naomi Tutu came to Victoria recently to discuss “us and them: how we construct the ‘other’”. She is an amazing woman and a powerful speaker. I had the opportunity to present her with a photograph that I took of her father Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama when they were part of a roundtable dialogue at UBC in 2004.

  • Falling in love with BC all over again.

I have spent many moons traveling the globe and I regularly fall in love with different lands but BC will always be my first and strongest love. Nothing beats hanging out in an arbutus tree in a field full of camas, or laughing by a campfire on the edge of the ocean, or trekking for a spectacular view in the mountains, or swimming in a pristine lake miles down an old logging road. It is the natural, rugged, beauty of BC that makes it the incredible place that it is. I feel so fortunate to live and have access to…
