Studio 16 1/2-the Premier Portrait Project: a part of “The Art of Voting”

Just wanted to let you know about another show coming up. As part of Studio 16 1/2’s Premier Portrait Project, I did a rendition of Harlan Carey Brewster (the premier who, among other things, brought in women’s suffrage and prohibition in 1917).  The show runs from May.2nd, 2009 – May. 31, 2009 with the opening on May.2nd at 8pm. Come check it out! The gallery space is very cool and I was super impressed with the pieces that I had a peek at when I dropped mine off.

    I was just down at the opening for “the Art of Voting” at Studio 16 1/2. Artists created portraits of the past 34 premiers of BC.     What a great show it was. I feel so fortunate to have connected with all these amazingly talented women photographers for the Exhibit A gallery show. The turnout to the opening was incredible; the gallery was packed from the moment we opened the doors right up until the end.
